コンセプト
LAKSはノルウェー語でサーモンという言葉です。LAKSのプロダクトはオーガニックサーモンレザーで作られており、ドイツで製造されています。原料の鮭の皮は食品加工過程における副産物でアイルランドのオーガニックサーモンの工場でとれたものです。ドイツの南部にあるアムール川のそばに住むナナイ族と呼ばれる人たちに伝わる伝統的な皮なめしの手法に現代の技術を加えて作られています。タイムレス、サステナビリティ、機能性そしてシンプルなスカンジナビアンデザインがコンセプトです。サーモンレザーは非常に丈夫で長く使って頂ける素材です。
商品が生み出されるまで
これ何の革に見える？LASKのプロダクトを持っていると、つい周りの人に聞いてみたくなります。というのも、LAKSのプロダクトは全てサーモンレザーで出来ているからです。革として使用される鮭はオーガニックサーモン。アイルランドの食品加工工場の作業過程で出されるものを使っています。植物由来の染料で染められ、ドイツの南部に伝わる伝統的な皮なめしの手法と現代の技術を組み合わせて作られます。LAKSのプロダクトが生み出されるまでの全ての過程がオーガニック。素材の魅力を活かして独特の風合いのレザーが生み出されます。オーガニックだけどファッション性も高く、触り心地はとっても柔らかい。サーモンレザーの美しさにびっくりするはずです。

Lisa Pindelはノルウェーのオスロで活躍するドイツ人ファッションデザイナーです。オスロ国立芸術大学でファッションを学び修士課程修了。洋服を生産することより、レザーアクセサリーに興味を持ち、2005年からはレザーのアクセサリーに特化して活動を始める。アクセサリーは洋服を際立て、時には修正してくれます。選ぶアクササリーによって全体の雰囲気が決まると彼女は信じています。

Concept
LAKS is the Norwegian word for salmon. Lisa is a German designer based in Norway. Laks products are made of organic salmon leather. They are produced in Germany. The product range consists of clutch bags, purses, phone cases and smaller accessories. The key words are timelessness, sustainability, functionality and Scandinavian simplicity with a touch of vintage. Salmon leather is extremely solid and the products are built to last.

What leather is this?
If you had LASK product, you would like to ask it to your friend. It is because all the products of LAKS are made of a salmon leather. The salmon used as leather is an organic salmon. The material is taken out with the work process of the food-processing factory in Ireland. It dyes with dye of vegetable origin, and is made combining the technique of a traditional leather tanning and the modern technology which get across to the southern part of Germany. All the processes of producing the LAKS products are organic. The leather is produced taking advantage of the charm of a material. Although it is organic, it is fashionable, and feel like soft to the touch.You should be surprised at the beauty of a salmon leather.

Lisa Pindel is an award- winning young Fashion designer from Germany who holds a Master degree from Oslo National College of the Arts (2007). She decided to concentrate on leather accessories in 2005 because she had always been more interested in designing accessories to the clothes she actually had to produce. Lisa believes that the right accessories can highlight your clothes and emphasize/ modify them, so the actual appearance of a an outfit is defined by the accessories you choose to wear.
