コンセプト
風化
長い時間をかけて錆が進行し少しずつ風化していく鉄で出来た私の作品は、それを見る人自身も例外無く穏やかな消失と言う流れの中に存在する事を表現しています。日常と言う極当たり前な状態がこの現代においてとてもデリケートなバランスの上に成り立っていると言う思いをこの作品に詰めました。
商品が生み出されるまで
デ・ジャブ？この瞬間、どこかで見たことある。最近のような、遠い昔のような。等身大の彼の作品を見て感じました。それは見覚えのあるトレンチコートやバッグを鉄で創っているからというだけでなく、帯びた錆が過去の記憶を蘇らせるから。不思議な感覚はそれだけでない。固く重い鉄が柔らかいものに変貌する驚き、軽いはずの帽子が鉄で出来ている違和感、当たり前の感覚を鉄が翻弄する。彼の作品を身近な場所に置いてもらうために、アパートメントの一室がまるごと作品になりました。小さな世界の完成。どうぞゆっくり眺めてください。

彫刻の素材として鉄は比較的新しい素材と言えます。観念にとらわれず今までに無い表現や新しい作品性を反映させやすい素材だと思います。鉄を主な素材とし自分だけにしか出来ない表現を探し続け制作しています。

この作品には正確な時を告げる時計がありますが、その時間とは趣が異なる穏やかな消失とも言える時の流れを鉄の持つ固有の状態変化から見て、感じ取って頂きたいです。

Concept
Fade
My work is made with iron which, little by little, rusts and fades. I demonstrate that people, who see my work, exist in the stream of quiet vanishing time without exceptions. Everyday, quite natural conditions stand on a delicate balance in time, and I poured this thought into my work.
Story of product
Déjà-vu?
The moment that I saw Ano’s life-sized piece, I felt this is familiar as if I saw this somewhere a few days ago or a long time ago. This is not only because he creates a familiar coat and bag with iron, but also the rust made memories of the past come back. This is a strange sense of not only surprise that the hard, heavy iron transformed soft, but a sense of incongruity that the hat must be light but made from iron. Iron plays on accustomed senses. Ano designed the whole room of the apartment to be placed nearby. The small world is perfected. Please take your time to gaze.

Iron is quite new material for sculpture. Therefore I think iron is an easy material to reflect an unprecedented expression and a new idea of work. I use iron as the main material, and I am seeking an expression that only I can do when I create my works.
How to enjoy my work
Even though there is a clock which signals exact time in my piece, I would like people to feel the stream of time which differs from clock time. One could describe it as quiet vanishing time by observing the iron has a characteristic change of conditions.
