コンセプト
谷根千パワー
「元気になる入れ物」がコンセプトです。谷中、根津、千駄木を歩いていた地元の方に声をその場でかけて写真を撮らせてもらい、それをボールペンでおこして布に刷ってガマグチにしています。下町独自のファッションがすごく魅力的でした。それぞれが、一点モノのガマグチです。
商品が生み出されるまで
欲しい！作者を大捜索まだ芸大の学生だった彼女が芸祭で並べていた、このがま口を見たときのインパクトが忘れられません。とっさに欲しい！と思いました。どこのおじさん？どこのおばさん？とてつもなくシュール。「懐かしいモノ×懐かしいモノ＝新しいモノ」とコンセプトを聞き、ちゃんと考えられた作品だったのだとますます好きなりました。作者を大捜索！そしてがま口復活！カバンから出した時、周りの人がきっと凝視しますよね。どこのおばさん？

Concept
The Power of Ya-ne-sen (Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi)
“vigor purse” is a concept of my work. I talked to the local people who were walking in Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi, Tokyo, and asked them to take their pictures. I draw the pictures with a ball-point to print them on cloth, and I have created a coin purse. The unique fashion in Shitamachi（The name for traditional areas of Japanese cities) was attractive. Each purse is custom-made.

Want it! Look for the creator.
The impact when I saw this purse was unforgettable when Nakayama displayed those purses at GEISAI which is a festival of Tokyo University of the Arts. Suddenly I thought I wanted it, and I wondered "who are the middle aged man and woman?" They were very surreal. I heard her concept which was "nostalgia x nostalgia = new" and became a fan of her work. People surely stare at the purse when it comes out from a bag, and they would think what is that design?
